I had a difficult upbringing. My parents were incredibly strict, and then my mom died in a fatal car accident when I was only fifteen years old. It was difficult for me to relate to the other kids, and even harder to try not to walk around depressed all day. I realized that if I was ever going to be happy, I would need to focus on helping myself. I started visiting with a therapist who worked hard to teach me the steps, and it was incredible to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
